Firmware Files

You can update the following types of firmware files:

• Node firmware: The software inside the node to control how the node controls hardware, implements network protocols, manages data, and enforces access and authentication.

• Modem firmware: The software inside the modem to control how the modem communicates over a network. For modem firmware, ensure that you download the zip file from the FTP server; do not use the individual modem firmware file.

Before you upgrade, ensure that you have access to the required firmware file.
